UW-Madison faculty and staff who are assigned to teach at least one course in the Fall 2017 semester are invited to join The Discussion Project, a six-session professional development program designed to create welcoming and engaging classroom environments in which students experience productive discussions on important issues and topics.
Participants in the program will:
- Learn to create inclusive classroom climates
- Develop discussion strategies for both small and large groups
- Improve facilitation skills
- And more
Faculty and staff who complete all six sessions will earn $500.
If you are interested in applying to The Discussion Project, please visit the program website. Applications are now being accepted for the fall cohort. The application is a short survey that should take about 20 minutes to complete and is due by Monday, May 22.
