Soil Science to host David Montgomery for symposium keynote – May 11

The Department of Soil Science will welcome Dr. David R. Montgomery for the O.N. Allen Soil Microbiology Symposium on Thursday, May 11.

Montgomery is a professor of Earth and Space Sciences at the University of Washington, where he studies the evolution of topography and the influence of geomorphological processes on ecological systems and human societies.

The keynote will be held from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. in the Ebling Auditorium of the Microbial Sciences Building. A reception and poster display by students will follow. Finally, a talk and book signing with Dr. Montgomery will be held at 7 p.m. at Mystery to Me, located at 1863 Monroe St.
