Academic Planning Council elections underway
Elections are underway for faculty and academic staff membership on CALS Academic Planning Council for terms running from 2017-2020. APC is the primary shared governance body in the college and advises the dean on strategic planning, resource allocation, academic program proposals and more. Three faculty seats are open for nomination, one each from Animal Science (Division 1), Plant Pathology (Division 4) and Nutritional Sciences (Division 5). In addition, there is a vacancy that requires a replacement to serve a one year term from Horticulture (Division 4). There is also one open academic staff seat.
Faculty and academic staff members will receive an email invitation to participate in the online balloting (all CALS faculty may vote in all open divisions; all CALS academic staff may vote for the academic staff representative) – please watch for the message in your in-box and be sure to vote before the election closes May 5.
The next open Extension seat will occur in 2018.
