Collegiate FFA seeks new advisor

Do you have a passion for agriculture and love to have fun? Collegiate FFA (formerly Future Farmers of America), UW-Madison Chapter is looking for a new advisor!

Collegiate FFA, UW-Madison Chapter is a student-run organization. Our purposes include leadership and professional development, supporting the Wisconsin FFA Association and service to the agricultural community. All undergraduate, graduate and short-course students are welcome. We love to have fun, eat good food and share our agricultural passions with everyone!

Our meetings are the second Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. in 351 Moore Hall. FREE meal at every meeting!

Our major annual events include:
-FIRE Conference (workshop for middle schoolers to learn about FFA)
-Parliamentary Procedure workshop for high school FFA chapters
-CALS Fall picnic and Student Org Fairs
-Monthly service projects (this year we volunteered for Madison Area Food Pantry Gardens)
-Hockey Extravaganza-1000 high school members come to campus to learn about CALS and enjoy a hockey game
-Volunteer judging for nearby FFA high school chapter events
-CALS Day for Kids
-Foodstand at the state CDE contest
-Workshops at the Wisconsin FFA Convention
-CFFA Officer retreat

Advisor Duties: Our advisor can do as much or as little as they wish; we just want to touch base and brainstorm new ideas once a semester with the advisor. They are welcome to come and help with any events! Contact Jacqui Christine Hilliard (jchilliard@wisc.edu) for more information.
