Keeping Your Woody Plants Alive: Proper Tree Planting and Aftercare

Learn the proper techniques for planting and maintaining your woody plants from woody ornamentals expert and UW Associate Profession, Laura Jull.

Class is held in the Horticulture Building- Room 108.

Chicago’s Millennium Park and the Innovation of Cultural Landscapes

Join us for an evening with Scott Stewart, Executive Director of the Millennium Park Foundation, to explore how the Park has contributed to the evolution of cultural landscapes around the world. A panel discussion featuring local leaders and designers will follow Scott’s presentation. Complimentary appetizers will be available.

UW Family Gardening Day gives everyone a chance to see and explore some of the splendid facilities for teaching, research and outreach in the plant sciences as well as to tour the beautiful gardens on campus. Learn more about gardening at the Allen Centennial Garden and take home some plants of your own!
