Dietram Scheufele named Fellow of International Communication Association

dietram_scheufele_penn2Life Sciences Communication professor Dietram A. Scheufele has been named a Fellow of the International Communication Association (ICA). Fellow status in the ICA is a recognition of distinguished scholarly contributions to the broad field of communication. ICA is the most prestigious association for communication researchers.

“I cannot think of anyone more deserving than Dietram for this fellowship,” says Life Sciences Communication chair Dominique Brossard. Scheufele’s research deals with the public and political interfaces of emerging science. Scheufele is one of the most-cited researchers globally in political communication, science and technology policy, and science communication.

Dietram A. Scheufele is the John E. Ross Professor in Science Communication and Vilas Distinguished Achievement Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and in the Morgridge Institute for Research.
