PR effort celebrates long-standing partnership between UW-Madison and the state of Wisconsin
For generations, the citizens of Wisconsin have partnered with business, industry, education, and political leaders to build one of the world’s finest public universities. A new public relations initiative of the Wisconsin Alumni Association (WAA) and UW-Madison demonstrates the positive results of this partnership. The initiative, known as Boundless Together, features stories compiled by WAA from each of the state’s 72 counties that exemplify this collaboration. Each story highlights a local resident partnering with a UW-Madison program to grow the economy, steward natural resources, improve health or otherwise serve the community.
These stories will be told throughout the state this fall on billboards in nearly every county, through print and online advertisements and in newspapers and other publications. The selection process to determine which stories to highlight in every county was multifaceted. Project managers at WAA drew upon many resources, including feature stories on the university’s websites, departmental newsletters and recommendations from university partners living in specific counties.
Several of the featured stories are connected to CALS programs or graduates. We plan to share several of those college stories through eCALS in the coming months.
