The following is an memo/update from the nEXT Generation project communications committee to Cooperative Extension staff. Please note that CALS has a number of representatives in the various work groups.
This memo provides background, news and general updates on nEXT Generation project from the project communications committee responsible for managing project-related communications.
This memo includes information on:
- Multi-county area meetings
- Coming soon: external communications newsletter for county partners and friends
- Updated support work group rosters
- Project information, questions and comments
Multi-county area meetings
Many colleagues have expressed interest in convening meetings with staff from their multi-county areas. Regional directors can provide more direction and structure for these meetings. These gatherings will be a great opportunity for multi-county area colleagues to break the ice, get to know each other, talk through common hopes and concerns, and begin building a cohesive team.
Please work with your regional director to plan and schedule multi-county area meetings.
Coming soon: external communications newsletter for county partners and friends
Starting the first week of August, the nEXT Generation project communications committee will send an e-newsletter to county partners and Cooperative Extension friends around the state. The newsletter will be emailed approximately every three weeks. It will include updates on the nEXT Generation project’s progress and provide an additional venue for our valued partners to share questions and feedback.
The newsletter will go to county elected officials and other external partners we have already identified. If you have important external partners you feel should receive this newsletter, please send contact information and their relationship to Cooperative Extension to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Updated support work group rosters
Work group rosters have been updated to include all current members. Though a few partner invitations are still outstanding, support work groups are nearly fully staffed, and a kick-off meeting is in the works for August.
