The deadline to submit your 2016 Teaching Academy Summer Institute application is quickly approaching.
Are you interested in Teaching and Learning? Need time to develop or restructure a course or program sequence? Want to interact with others passionate about higher education? We have just the thing for you and your colleagues!
Held annually since 2000, the Teaching Academy Summer Institute (TASI) is a week long retreat for you to broaden assumptions as you design, redesign, or update a course or program — through a guided mix of time to hear from students and experts, time to plan, discuss and refine with other instructors, and work alone. Learn to create equity-minded learning outcomes, build effective course materials, and engage all students.
The objective of TASI is to provide a small group of faculty, instructional staff, graduate students, and post-doctoral fellows an all-too-rare opportunity for professional reflection and renewal in a collegial atmosphere. We learn new teaching innovations while engaging in conversations affecting higher education. A team of UW-Madison faculty/instructional staff provide resources and serve as facilitators.
