Nominees sought for Women’s Philanthropy Council Champion Awards

The University of Wisconsin Foundation Women’s Philanthropy Council is seeking nominations for the Champion Awards to honor one man and one woman whose commitment and effort have advanced the status of women at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

To nominate an individual for this award, send a brief letter of nomination (no more than two pages) to Lindsey Stoddard Cameron at lindsey.stoddardcameron@wisc.edu by Friday, Mar. 4.

Candidates must be active members of the UW-Madison campus community. Each nomination should:

  1. provide the candidate’s contact information (name, title, department/unit, campus address, telephone, e-mail address),
  2. outline his or her significant contribution(s),
  3. describe one specific action/accomplishment more fully, and
  4. name two individuals who could offer additional details in support of the nomination (upon the review committee’s request).

Each recipient will have the opportunity to direct a $5,000 Women’s Philanthropy Council contribution to a campus initiative of his or her choice. Awards will be presented at the 2016 Summit on Women, Gender, and Well-Being, Well-being & Empowerment: Wisconsin & the World in the Pyle Center on Apr. 15-16.
