The Wisconsin Cranberry Board, Inc. (WCB) is pleased to announce its Call for new Proposals focused on Crop Research projects. Some general areas of interest for research include:
- Pesticide screening, use and registration including continued work on management practices to make the best use of new and existing components.
- Supporting work to allow growers to better understand how to manage vines post-harvest through winter flood and spring frost watch.
- Refining flooding practices for pest control especially timing, duration and impacts on plant physiology.
- Development of a “Big Data” study of grower practices to identify areas that contribute to strong production and ultimately profitability.
