The Morgridge Center for Public Service is continually working to promote community-based research (CBR) at UW. One way they do so is through their Bagels and Research series, typically held on the first Friday of each month from 9:00-10:00am. This series showcases community-based research by inviting presenters to speak about their CBR projects. Presenters are generally graduate students, but can also include faculty/staff and community practitioners who discuss their research as it relates to student learning and/or research outcomes, community impacts and theoretical exploration.
They are currently seeking presenters for the 2015-16 academic year. Presenters typically speak about their work for 30-40 minutes and then answer questions and engage in group discussions with the audience. They welcome projects from all disciplines.
