Patty Loew wins Midwest Book Award

Patricia-LoewPatty Loew, professor of life sciences communication, won a Midwest Book Award in the Culture category for her book “Seventh Generation Earth Ethics.” The book is a collection of biographies of Native American environmental leaders and was published in spring 2014.

The Midwest Book Awards were presented earlier this month in St. Paul, MN by the Midwest Independent Publishing Association. Out of 185 books and 42 categories, Wisconsin authors or publishing houses produced 10 award winners. Read the full list of Wisconsin winners here.
