Two members of the CALS community – entomology professor Walter Goodman and Autumn Sabo, a graduate student in the Department of Forest and Wildlife Ecology – were selected to receive 2015 Awards for Mentoring Undergraduates in Research, Scholarly and Creative Activities from the UW-Madison Office of the Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs.

The awards, which highlight the important role mentors play in fostering undergraduates’ intellectual, personal and professional growth, are designed to provide faculty, staff, postdoctoral fellows and graduate students with recognition for their excellence in mentoring, commitment to undergraduate learning and contribution to a core component of students’ Wisconsin Experience.

Goodman and Sabo were honored on April 16 during a ceremony at the Ideas to Excellence Reception, held after the UW-Madison Undergraduate Symposium.
