Share your cost-saving ideas for UW-Madison

The University of Wisconsin-Madison is committed to responsible stewardship of resources. That commitment is reflected in the university’s strategic priorities.

However, at a time when proposed budget reductions pose significant challenges for the university, it is important to place a special emphasis on resource stewardship and do even more to help ourselves.

To this end, the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration (VCFA) has kicked-off an initiative to gather ideas from the campus community. Information about the initiative can be found at:

Through this website, the VCFA is providing campus colleagues the opportunity to submit ideas for reducing costs, identifying savings and operating more efficiently. The goal is to gather specific and compelling suggestions from all parts of the campus. The best suggestions will offer ideas for UW-Madison to be more efficient and effective without compromising the university’s mission.
