If you felt a bit discouraged after reading the Dec. 8 eCALS post titled “Fox news: What’s up with the campus canids,” things are looking brighter. Since then, a handful of fox sightings have been reported. Most recently David Schwartz, department administrator for life sciences communication, spotted two foxes outside of the Microbial Sciences Building on Jan. 2. He was able to snap a few photos before they ran off and kindly shared them with eCALS.
Reminder: If you spot a fox or coyote on campus or the surrounding community, please send David Drake an email. Drake is studying the activity of urban canids in the area.
