In December of 2014 CALS Facilities Committee submitted their final report to the College APC for approval. The Facilities Committee was charged with three tasks under the college’s Strategic Planning Initiative:
Develop selection criteria for minor remodeling funding requests
Develop guidelines for the prioritization of capital project requests
Develop policies for the use of existing space within the College
The goal of their work was to provide guidelines of how the college would invest limited resources earmarked for building projects and to develop forms that would make it easier for departments to communicate their needs and the committee to evaluate proposals in a meaningful and transparent way.
