Learning. Growing. Giving Thanks.

In the 1920s, young people pose on the UW-Madison campus near present day Allen Centennial Gardens. The former Agricultural Dean’s Residence is evident in the background of the photo. Image courtesy of UW-Madison Archives. Hand-colored by Diane Doering.

During our 125th anniversary year, we are honoring our past and looking toward our future. This historical photo of young people proudly displaying the fruits of autumn harvest reminds us of the bounty we reap—not just from the land, but also from the people who choose to learn, grow and partner with us. During this season of giving thanks, we are grateful for all of you, as members of our CALS community.

With gratitude,
Kate Vandenbosch, Dean
