This year’s two-day conference for educators, students and community leaders will feature keynote speakers and national thought-leaders Rebecca Ryan, entrepreneur, author, founder and co-owner of Next Generation Consulting; and Peter Aranda, Executive Director and CEO of The Consortium for Graduate Study in Management, a non-profit alliance that includes some of the country’s best business schools, major corporations and sought-after MBA candidates. There will also be an informative session on UW-Madison’s role in national and local history with a faculty panel discussing the 50th Anniversary of the Civil Rights Act in the Memorial Union Theater’s Shannon Hall.
On the second day, the forum will move to the Pyle Center next door at 702 Langdon Street for a day of break-out sessions and workshops on compelling diversity topics and UW-Madison campus-wide diversity efforts. The closing keynote from Major General Marcia Anderson, the highest ranking African-American woman in the U.S Army Reserves, will celebrate Veterans Day.
Forum participants will also have the opportunity to review and discuss implementation plans for Forward Together: A Diversity Framework for UW-Madison.
