A new policy for alcohol service permits is now in effect. Event organizers must complete responsible employee training (given online) and then apply for an alcohol service permit through a new online system.
Key items in regards to this new system:
- There is a 24-hour waiting period between when you take the online training and when you can apply for a permit. Please plan accordingly.
- When applying for an online permit, please indicate Doug Sabatke as the authorized university official for approval. If the event will be located at an ARS station, then you may indicate Dwight Mueller as the authorized university official.
- Please submit your permit for approval at least one week in advance of your event. The Dean’s Office requires adequate time to review and approve your permit. Timely submission is extremely important, as permits submitted late or right before an event may not be approved.
