Brian Holmes, who retired last year after a long career as professor and Extension specialist in biological systems engineering, has been named interim CALS associate dean for extension and outreach. That position opened when John Shutske was named UWEX interim provost and vice chancellor.
During his career Holmes worked with Cooperative Extension agents and farmers and others across the state sharing his expertise in the design of livestock housing, feed storage and other agricultural facilities.
“Brian is well-known to extension agents and extension specialists in the college and statewide,“ says Dick Straub, CALS executive associate dean. “He has been involved in a number of planning exercises for Extension over the years. He can provide a great perspective both backwards and forwards looking at our Extension mission.”
Cooperative Extension will be announcing interim program leadership for UW Extension ANRE separately.
Holmes begins his new position on March 1 and will serve until September. This entry was posted in Highlights, People and Departments by . Bookmark the permalink.
