Called by many the “Nobel Prize for Food and Agriculture,” this $250,000 prize recognizes exceptional breakthrough achievements in improving the quality, quantity and availability of food. It is awarded for individual achievement at any point along the full range of the food production and distribution chain, in a wide array of areas that alleviate hunger and ensure adequate food and nutrition for the world’s people.
