Helping a sightless cow find her way

ping03Ping, a blind cow at the UW-Madison Arlington Agricultural Research Station, has learned to find her way with a little help from her friends—her herd mates and the dairy center staff. Ping has earned her way in the herd and into the hearts of her caregivers. Because she learned to use her other senses to compensate for her lack of sight, the dairy center staff didn’t realize that she was blind until she was moved to a new location.
