Video: BSE student Justin Vannieuwenhoven went fishing and hooked a $25,000 idea

Justin Vannieuwenhoven wanted to find a way to help his grandfather catch more fish. As it turns out, the biological system engineer may have found a way to help every angler around the world catch more fish with an ingenious, self-adjusting fishing rod holder that works with everything from a bamboo pole to a carbon fiber fishing rod. He tells his story in this video made for the UW-Foundation Bascom Hill Society’s 2013 Fall Event.
