This online video tells about work by CALS professor emeritus Tom Brock and other scientists on three research teams that received this year’s Golden Goose Award. The award is given to honor seemingly obscure fedrerally funded studies that have led to major breakthroughs and resulted in significant societal impact. The part of the video describing Brock’s project starts at about the 4:28 minute mark, but watch it all the way through. It’s a great testimonial to the value of public research investments.
