UW Foundation workshop on donor development and stewardship – Aug. 14

What is development? How can my department encourage prospective donors to make a gift? What is stewardship? Does a thank-you letter or a newsletter really make that much difference? How does the UW Foundation invest gifts?

Whether you’re a department chair, director or administrative professional, you play an important role in development and stewardship. The UW Foundation Campus Partners workshop (formerly known as the stewardship workshop) is designed to provide an overview of the Foundation and share best development practices.

The workshop runs from 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 14 in room 1195 Grainger Hall, located at 975 University Avenue. Click here to register.

Please join us for this free workshop that will give you the tools, confidence and inspiration to develop lasting, mutually rewarding relationships with your donors. You’ll learn about the cycle of development, from initial contact to thank-you letters and sharing the impact of gifts. You’ll also be introduced to multiple ways to keep donors engaged and interested in making another gift.

The workshop includes lunch and is limited to 50 people on a first-come, first-served basis.
