Emeritus Agricultural & Applied Economics faculty member Ken Shapiro won the Association for International Agriculture and Rural Development’s (AIARD) 2013 Distinguished Service Award. Shapiro was a founding member of AIARD in the late 1980’s. AIARD brings together University Directors of International Programs with government, non-governmental and private sector groups interested in international agricultural development.
