Honor your administrative all-stars: Nominations for new campus award due May 31

As another academic year draws to a close and graduation celebrations abound, it is important to remember and acknowledge that our students’ success is supported by the operations and administration of the institution. Such efforts are critical to UW-Madison’s mission, and very much appreciated. Thank you.

In celebration of this important, often unnoticed work, it is our pleasure to announce the launch of the new Administrative Achievement Awards.

These awards are designed to recognize excellence in customer service, service delivery or process development/re-engineering that resulted in improved efficiency, revenue and/or service delivery. Criteria for evaluating nominees include:

  • Excellence in performance
  • Personal Interaction
  • Initiative and Creativity
  • Outstanding Achievement

All current UW employees serving in an administrative role that supports student services, research, academics and administration are eligible for the award if they are:

  • Classified/Unclassified
  • Student Employees
  • Faculty
  • Employees who contribute to administrative duties
  • Employees who contribute to student services

Nominees can be an individual or a team. Anyone on campus may submit a nomination(s). However, self-nominations are discouraged and will not be accepted. The nomination form and guidelines are available online at <http://www.vc.wisc.edu/adminachievement.html> and the nomination deadline is May 31, 2013. This year’s awards will be presented this summer.

If you have any questions about these Administrative Achievement Awards, please contact Scott Hildebrand, Office of the Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration, at <shildebrand@vc.wisc.edu>.

Thank you again, and we look forward to your participation in this meaningful awards program.
