Does your lab hire undergraduates? Consider attending the undergraduate Lab Fair portion of the UW STEM Fair. The STEM Fair is organized by CALS, the College of Engineering, the College of Letters and Sciences and the Wisconsin Alumni Association.
The event features campus labs, employers and organizations that focus on Science, Technology, Engineering and Math disciplines. The STEM Fair will be held April 11 from 1-4 p.m. at the Engineering Centers Building with set up beginning at noon.
Your lab can have a table at NO COST.
Students are confused about how to secure lab opportunities. Our hope is that this event will be a way for students to explore research, learn about the process and hand out a few resumes. For you – the idea would be to go beyond the “Student Jobcenter” or mass email approach and have a chance to help educate students and screen some candidates at the same time. Win-Win.
You are busy researchers – your booth could be staffed by a grad student, or even an undergrad that has been around long enough to speak intelligently about your research. If are interested in having a table or just have questions, please contact Maria McGinnis at firstname.lastname@example.org or 608-262-3460.This entry was posted in Student opportunities, Events, Teaching & Advising, Research, Uncategorized by jpursian.
