Academic staff scholarships available for the Big Learning Event

The Office of the Secretary of the Academic Staff, in collaboration with the Academic Staff Executive Committee, is pleased to announce the availability of twenty scholarships to support academic staff attendance at the second Big Learning Event on June 5-6, 2013. Scholarships of $100 are available to the first twenty academic staff registrants.  Currently employed academic staff members are eligible for these scholarships.

The Big Learning Event, sponsored by the Office of Human Resource Development will be held June 5-6 at the Gordon Dining and Event Center, 770 W. Dayton Street. BLE organizers have gathered a mix of leaders and thinkers who are open to new ideas and approaches to learning: environmentalist Saleem Ali; artist and writer Lynda Barry; physician and researcher Molly Carnes; astronomer Jill Tarter; and social learning theorist Etienne Wenger-Trayner.
