CALS Financial Group 1st Fall Meeting Sept. 25

Welcome back! Summer is over and it is time for the CALS Financial Group to start meeting again.

The first meeting of the fall will be held:

Tuesday, Sept. 25th
Rm 473 Horticulture

The topic for this meeting will be no cost extensions (NCE). What do you do when a professor tells you that his or her project has been extended? What is the next step? Do you need a WISPER record? Do you need a provisional request with a no cost extension? What does the Research and Sponsored Program Office (RSP) need to process a NCE? What does CALS need?

Casey Hillmer, of CALS, will answer these questions and more.

The CALS Financial Group allows CALS employees with similar job duties to network and learn from colleagues’ experiences. The group is targeted toward financial specialists, accountants, payroll coordinators, University service associates, and grants/contract specialists, but is open to anyone with an interest in finance and accounting topics.

The group typically meets monthly during the academic year for 1 to 2 hours. During Fall 2012, meetings will usually be on the fourth Tuesday of each month, however the schedule is subject to change. See for more information about the group, meeting schedules, and materials from past meetings.
