The Wisconsin School for Beginning Dairy and Livestock Farmers sends its thanks to everyone who helped support the 9th annual Ride to Farm event on Saturday, June 2.
“We had over 50 registered cyclists who completed the 64-mile (103K) course with two farm stops along the way… and raised over $10,000 in pledges,” reports Nadia Alber, who helped organize this year’s event.
The award for best costume definitely goes to agroecology grad student Allison Dungan, who rode 65 miles in a cow suit! She’s pictured here with Dick Cates and Dean Kate VandenBosch, who stopped by in the morning to give the riders a rousing send-off.
