PEOPLE Program mentors needed!

As many of you know, CALS has been involved in a collaboration with the PEOPLE Program to provide summer science enrichment experiences for their high school seniors who have expressed an interest in our related disciplines. The PEOPLE Program is one of the leading organizations of its kind nationally as a pre-college initiative designed to support and recruit students from underrepresented populations (for more information on PEOPLE, visit their web site at

We are in need of a few more volunteers who would be willing to host one or two students this summer to provide a lab or research experience for 6 weeks. The students will receive instruction during the day from a Graduate Student instructor about science related activities. In the afternoon, the students will report to their internships guided by a research mentor. The stipends for the students are paid for by PEOPLE, so we are looking for people willing to take on a student with a project.
