Expect a lot of foot traffic along Babcock Drive on Saturday. The UW’s annual family gardening extravaganza takes place from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the D.C. Smith Greenhouses, the Allen Centennial Gardens and Steenbock Library, with inevitable side trips to the Babock Dairy Store. Kids are welcome—there will be all sorts of hands-on activities to engage them. So are grown-ups, who can get a lot of good gardening info from the demonstrations and experts on hand. Details are available in this Wisconsin State Journal story and in this earlier eCALS announcement.
