Sean Carroll awarded Benjamin Franklin Medal in Life Science

The Franklin Institute has awarded Sean Carroll the Benjamin Franklin Medal in life Science “for proposing and demonstrating that the diversity and multiplicity of animal life is largely due to the different ways that the same genes are regulated rather than to mutation of the genes themselves.” More about the Franklin Medals is available here.

“The Franklin Institute’s Awards Program has long been recognized as the oldest, and most comprehensive science and technology honor bestowed in the country and around the world,” according to the organization’s website.
