Matt Repking, assistant superintendent at the Arlington Agricultural Research, will serve as interim superintendent at the Hancock Station while a search for a new superintendent is underway. Matt has worked as an assistant superintendent at the Arlington Research Station for the past three years. Prior to that, he worked on a potato research project at Hancock in the process of earning his M.S. in Soil Science from UW-Madison.
Mary LeMere, who had been acting as the interim superintendent since Chuck Kostichka retired in 2010, will return to her role as assistant superintendent with primary responsibilities for the station’s Potato and Vegetable Storage Research Facility. Former Arlington superintendent Darwin Frye has agreed to return to the Arlington Station on a temporary basis to cover the staffing needs while Repking is stationed at Hancock.
