CALS-trained National Guard ag development team heads for Afghanistan this month

The Wisconsin National Guard’s 82nd Agriculture Development Team held a send-off ceremony on Feb. 4 and will be leaving for Afghanistan in about two weeks. The team spent a week on campus, at the Arlington research station and area farms last July for an Agriculture 101 training provided by CALS faculty and staff. The training was organized by the Babcock Institute for International Dairy Research and Development and the Arlington Agricultural Research Station.
