Former CALS outreach specialist completes trip by tandem from the Arctic to Argentina

Nearly two years ago, Alan Turnquist left his job as an outreach specialist in the CALS Program for Agricultural Technology Studies, drove to the Northwest Territories and began a 19-month, 17,000-mile journey via tandem bike from the Arctic Circle to the tip of South America. He and his partner complete that trip on Dec. 14, according to this article in the Wisconsin State Journal.  They documented the trip in this blog.
