The Badger Meat Science Club Presents: Meat and Your Health. This unique two-hour class that will feature both a registered dietitian and an expert on meat processing and nitrites, discussing the following topics:
- Are there nutrients in meat that I can’t get anywhere else?
- Are there true links between meat and cancer?
- Should I be worried about nitrites in meat? Are they safe?
When: Monday, October 17th, 2011 at 6 p.m.
Where: University of Wisconsin Meat Lab – 1805 Linden Dr.
How Much: $10 – Fee includes course materials/handouts and refreshments.
