Encourage students to attend: Service Travel Symposium April 19
Do you like to travel? Do you enjoy volunteering? Then you should attend the Service Travel Symposium (STS) on Tuesday, April 19th at 6:30 pm in the new Union South! Hosted by the WUD Alternative Breaks committee, STS brings together a collection of UW organizations to celebrate their commitment to service travel. These groups range from student organizations to academic departments and everyone in between. Participating organizations include the Peace Corps, the International Internship Program, Engineers without Borders, AIESEC, Habitat for Humanity, and the Crossing. There will be a poster session and resource fair with displays and representatives from all participating groups. Entertainment will be provided by the Madhatters and a local bluegrass band–Honey Summer and Fall. Regionally-themed refreshments will be available from some of the areas served. STS will be one of the first events in Union South’s Varsity Hall!
