Brown bag to feature indigenous environmentalist from New Zealand – Sept. 28

The life sciences communication department is hosting a brown bag for indigenous environmentalist Makere Ruka Te Korako, matriarch of New Zealand’s Waitaha people, on Tuesday, Sept. 28 from 12-1:15 p.m. in 225 Hiram Smith Hall.

She will show an excerpt from the documentary, “Papatuanuku: the Earth Whisperers,” and read from her two books, Whispers of Waitaha and Song of Waitaha.
