Due to numerous unforeseen utility conflicts, the East Campus Utility Improvement Project is behind schedule. Project managers now predict that all affected roads and sidewalks will open on Tuesday, Sept. 7, including Park Street, Langdon Street and Observatory Drive.
There’s a chance, however, that two streets may open a little early. Contractors hope to open Observatory Drive and the segment of Park Street between University Avenue and Johnson Street by the weekend of Aug. 28/29.
All dates are subject to change, however, especially if it rains.
Rob Kennedy, the UW-Madison’s senior transportation planner, will continue to send periodic updates until the project is completed. This entry was posted in Workplace by Nicole. Bookmark the permalink.
