Campus innovators will swap ideas at Showcase 2010 on April 6

You are invited to attend UW-Madison’s eleventh annual improvement “Showcase” on April 6, 2010. Events are from 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and are located throughout Memorial Union. You can attend all or a portion.

Showcase 2010 is designed to share best practices and learn from each other, so we can continuously improve outcomes, advance our priorities, and be careful stewards of our resources. This is especially important as we strive to sustain our excellence in a time of resource challenges. Attendees will see how faculty and staff from across campus are advancing our campus strategic framework: For Wisconsin and the World.

Showcase 2010 will feature over 55 poster exhibits from 8:00-11:00 a.m. in Great Hall and there will also be concurrent breakout sessions.

The keynote luncheon, from 11:15 am-1:00 pm in Tripp Commons, will feature Provost Paul M. DeLuca and guest speakers Jeremi Suri and Gregg Mitman who will talk about how to engage a broad spectrum of our campus in addressing the complex societal problems of global health and sustainability. Wisconsin Public Television’s Frederica Freyberg will be moderating the guest speaker panel. Registration for the keynote session includes a box lunch.

Showcase is free, but please register. Continental breakfast starts at 7:45am and a box lunch is provided for those who register for the keynote presentation.
