Nutrition policy advocate Margaret Wootan will be speaking at the Health Sciences Learning Center (HSLC) on Monday, April 5 from noon– 1 p.m. The topic of her talk is: It takes more than willpower: supporting Americans’ efforts to eat well and watch their weight. Wootan is Director of Nutrition Policy at the Center for Science in the Public Interest and co-founder of the National Alliance for Nutrition and Activity, she has led efforts to improve school foods, reduce junk-food marketing to children, require trans fat labeling and calorie labeling at fast food restaurant chains.This entry was posted in Events, Extension and Outreach by .
