Hort students have a few poinsettias left for sale

Not all of the foliage at last weekend’s sale at the Stock Pavilion was green. Students were also selling Xmass reddery, in the form of 85 poinsettias of various sizes and variegations. About 12 Hort Club members helped out. The money earned will support Horticulture Society activities for the coming semester, including attending the Mid-Am Horticultural Tradeshow in Chicago, hosting speakers at  meetings, and other field trips.

If you missed the sale but would like to have a poinsettia, you’re in luck.

“We do still have about 29  6 1/2″  red poinsettias left over from the sale,” says Mackenzie Fochs, Horticulture Society president. “If anyone is interested, they can buy them for $15 by e-mailing the club or calling me at (715) 573-3988.”
