Madison Initiative receives 114 Phase 2 Proposals

The Madison Initiative for Undergraduates (MIU) has accepted 114 proposals for review for its second-round deadline on Nov. 23.

Members of the Madison Initiative oversight committee and the student oversight board will begin reviewing proposals until the end of winter break and then make recommendations to Chancellor Biddy Martin and Provost Paul DeLuca. Decisions for this second stage are expected in early spring.

Vice Provost Aaron Brower says that a third round of proposals will likely be accepted in fall 2010, with decisions announced by the end of February 2011.
