2009 NACTA-SERD Education Conference – June 17–19
Spring is upon us and many educators are rapidly approaching the end of an academic year. As you plan your summer, consider adding the 2009 NACTA-SERD Education Conference to your calendar.
This year’s conference will be hosted by Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma, from June 17-19. The conference theme is “Making Assessment Work for You.” Early bird registration will continue until May 1, 2009 so act now.
In this time of difficult budgets for all, NACTA has teamed with leading agricultural science and natural resource educational organizations in the United States and Canada to make this 2009’s premier conference for agriculture and natural resource educators in North America.
By joining forces with USDA-CSREES-Science Education Resource Development Unit (SERD) the 2009 NACTA-SERD conference will allow you to learn from many educational researchers recently funded by SERD. Additionally, the North Central and Southern Regions of the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU) have partnered with NACTA and SERD to make the 2009 Conference their annual educational workshop highlighting the expertise of educators who have won their prestigious teaching awards.
This is an unprecedented opportunity for you to hear the latest pedagogical research and learn from educators recognized nationally for their skill in the craft. You will also be able to participate in educational workshops, round table discussions and educational tours during this exciting week.
