Rock Co. workshop on protecting working lands – Feb. 4

A Workshop to Protect Working Lands will be held Feb. 4 in Janesville at the Pontiac Convention Center, 2809 Pontiac Dr. Registration begins at 9 a.m. The program runs from 9:30 a.m.–3 p.m. Deadline for advance registration is Jan. 26. Download a flyer and agenda for the workshop.

Topics will include:

  • Economic Importance of Rock County Agriculture
  • Current Rock County Land Preservation Tools
  • Agricultural Conservation Easements
  • Wisconsin Working Lands Initiative

Guest speaker for the event will be Bob Wagner, Senior Director for The American Farmland Trust. The event will include open forum discussions on land protection programs and the benefits they provide landowners.

A $10.00 registration fee (includes lunch) is due by January 26th. Return your name, address and phone number with your check for $10.00 per person to:
