There is no longer a need for students to visit the Office of Undergraduate Programs and Services for authorization of internship credit. All credit, learning outcomes, products and grades from an internship experience should be determined by the instructor in consultation with the student and the agency. The same principles that govern independent study credits should be applied to internship experiences. These are meant to be learning opportunities for students and clear learning objectives should be developed. The Office of Undergraduate Programs and Services is happy to provide guidance and assistance (see memo from CALS ad hoc internship committee), but students do not need UPS authorization to enroll in these activities. This entry was posted in Teaching & Advising by jsindelar.
