Pay plan implementations for some classified employees

Effective 10/12/08, several pay plan Implementations were effective for some classified employees. These included market adjustments and personnel management survey implementations. The rates have been updated in 3270 and can be viewed using 3270 transaction APPR. Individual Rate/Title Change Notices will be produced prior to the pay date of Nov. 6. Following is a summary of the adjustments/implementations (only those that affect CALS employees). WSEU (Pay Schedule 02)

Market Adjustment: The following classifications were reassigned to the specified pay range:

Financial Spec 1 (00101) 02-09 to 02-10 (+1.024)
Financial Spec 2 (00102) 02-10 to 02-11 (+1.115)
Financial Spec 3 (00103) 02-11 to 02-12 (+1.208)
Financial Spec 4 (00104) 02-12 to 02-13 (+1.304)
Financial Spec 5 (00105) 02-13 to 02-14 (+1.410)


Market Adjustment: The following classifications received an equity adjustment of $0.250 per hour:

16000 Office Associate
16160 Office Operations Associate

Market Adjustment: The following classifications received an equity adjustment of $0.500 per hour:

21301 Payroll and Benefits Spec 1
21302 Payroll and Benefits Spec 2
21303 Payroll and Benefits Spec 3
21304 Payroll and Benefits Spec 4
21305 Payroll and Benefits Spec 5

Student Status Examiner Survey Implementation

Student Status Examiner 1 (02-10) and Student Status Examiner 2 (02-11) were reallocated to Student Status Examiner Associate (02-11) (+1.115) or Student Status Examiner Senior (02-12) (+1.208). These titles are not necessarily a one to one match.

Market Adjustment: A/B Pay Progression Elimination

Elimination of “A” and “B” classification for Academic Department Associate, Operations Program Associate, University Services Program Associate, and Academic Department Specialist. All “A” classifications were reallocated. There was no pay increase associated with the elimination of “B” (employees remained in the same pay range; title code change only).

WSEU (Pay Schedule 03)

Market Adjustment: The following classifications were reassigned to the specified pay range:

Cheesemaker (84600) 03-15 to 03-16
Facilities Repair Worker Adv (76126) 03-11 to 03-12
Inventory Control Coordinator (20501) 03-09 to 03-10

Base pay for affected employees was set at the grid rate for the new class that corresponds to the employee’s grid seniority.

Market Adjustment: The following classifications received an equity adjustment of $0.300 per hour:

83103 Auto/Equip Tech – Sen
83104 Auto/Equip Tech – Master

Agriculture Research Equipment Operator Survey Implementation

80460 Farm Equipment Operator (03-09) was reallocated to either:
80461 Ag Research Equip Operator Entry (03-10),
80462 Ag Research Equip Operator Objective (03-11), or
80463 Ag Research Equip Operator Senior (03-12)

Base pay for affected employees was set at the grid rate for the new class that corresponds to the employee’s grid seniority.

WSEU (Pay Schedule 06)

Market Adjustment: The following classifications were reassigned to the specified pay range:

Electronics Tech Media (93171) 06-12 to 06-13 (+1.700)
Electronics Tech Media Inter (93172) 06-13 to 06-14 (+1.900)

The following classifications received a Market Stratification Adjustment based on full year of seniority as of 10/12/08 subject to the pay range maximum:

Full Years of Service as of October 12, 2008: Per Hour Increase

Zero – 4 years: $0.400
5 – 9 years: $0.600
10 – 14 years: $0.800
15 or more years: $1.000

WSP (Pay Schedule 15)

Classifications in pay range 15-03 received a base pay increase, limited to the pay range maximum, based on full years of seniority as of 10/12/08:

Plant Pest and Disease Specialist Senior (15-03). 15+ years — Received $0.41 per hour increase.

Non-represented Employees

Market Adjustment: The following classifications received a base pay increase based on full years of seniority as of 10/12/08:

00580 Financial Program Supervisor

Full Years of Service as of October 12, 2008: Per Hour Increase

Zero – 4 years: $0.400
5 – 9 years: $0.600
10 – 14 years: $0.800
15 or more years: $1.000

Market Adjustment: The following classifications received a base pay increase as follows:
